Ever since my friend appeared on TV I really loved Turtle Beach surround sound decoders. In games I give you advantage and the movies you sound like you're literally there as long as you're staring forward at the TV.
However there are 2 problems I noticed, DTS content and lpcm content. apparently turtle beaches only convert Dolby Digital to Dolby headphone directly. DTS is uncoated and lpcm will not fit in a toslink for more than two channels. Unfortunately about 70% of my blu-rays are either DTS or lpcm. if I'm not playing on an Xbox one which has conversions of Dolby and DTS to each other, and then use the Dolby headphone device, how would I watch DTS movies and lpcm movies and get them in the similar kind of surround sound that the turtle beaches do directly from Dolby Digital to Adobe headphone? Is there a likes with likes option where Dolby movies getting coded with Dolby headphone and DTS movies getting code with DTS headphone and lpcm movies gets decoded with some kind of lpcm surround conversion. I know Xbox One offers all three with Windows Sonic being the lpcm version. But what do I do in other areas. I don't want to particularly buy a big bulky box with speaker hookups amplifiers or stuff like that I just want a little box that converts all surround sound movies into headphones around movie regardless of what the source material is encoded in. Thankfully all my DTS movies are on 12 cm optical discs. Also about the nature of headphone decoders do they work off an lpcm that's decoded for me the Dolby DTS or do they work directly with the Dolby DTS formats, respectively? also I might want to give Sony's virtual headphone a try. I had it set for my mom settings where it's optimized for voice and wondering if there's a mode that would make it optimized for surround direction in both those DTS and lpcm movies I might just want to pick that up. |
