Default Your Favorite PS3 Console Design

While the Slim model looks very slick and suitable just as a standard Blu-ray Player, the Launch PS3 design looked very unique and stylish.

There's a model I can't stand.. the "Super Slim." It's kind of hard even to this day to take that seriously as a PS3, it looks more like a Chinese knockoff.

I also like the launch PS3 model the most, I am the owner of 1 of those, 80 GB edition. The design of it looks fancy, while slim and super slim ones just look like some big solid bricks.

SuperSlim; I always like top-loading best. I'd love a top-loading PS4.

Yes, top loading is great though it feels very cheap and as if intended for kids to use.

PS4 should've gotten a top loader model, the ones available now look nice, but the disc slot (and USB port) are somewhat hidden which is sort of unnecessary. If folks didn't want it with a disc slot, they wouldn't have bought it.

Well, if it has the same performance as the other models while taking up less space and weighing less, I would consider it an upgrade.

The original PS3 has the advantage of being able to play PS2 discs, the Super Slim has the advantage of taking up the least space. It's the Slim model that's in between, being a master of no trades.

Also the slim has the cheapest feeling eject button, despite the Superslim one just unlocking a latch to allow the springs to pull it open. Being in between the capacitive eject of the original and the very tactile satisfying feel of the superslim just makes it disappointing.

The CECHExx "80 GB" model was not the original model. The original models were the CECHBxx "20 GB" and CECHAxx "60 GB" models. These models had the PlayStation 2's Emotion Engine, whereas in the CECHExx it was removed. It did retain the PS2's Graphics Synthesizer but the lack of the Emotion Engine caused issues with quite a few PS2 games.

Loved my 60 GB model...it got stolen during a break in unfortunately.
