Australia International Movies Thread + Bargains (Chat Welcome)

This thread will focus mainly on movies that aren't available in Australia or have never had a BD release yet. Focusing also on catalogue titles, CRAZY deals and special editions that some might miss unless reading the way I do. Some of this thread will be biased choices by myself so unless other members contribute then you might not get everything available without this or searching yourself.

*Blu-rays that are only available from specific countries. I will also include releases if they are already released elsewhere but have better AV or 3D releases that are only available in that country *See notes below for more details*. If anybody else wants to add to the list please post in the thread

GERMANY

[Show spoiler]

Lake Mungo is a must have for horror fans

Kaboom is a fantastic movie, though might be hard to watch for homophobic people

The Hunted (very underrated movie)

Battle for Terra (only way to get 3D)

Mothman Prophecies (Great mystery/suspense/horror movie)

Cargo (Only way to get it in 3D)

Howard the Duck is only 2.0 but I don't think it needs more. (Its a great 80s movie)

Charlies Angels: Full Throttle is also available from amazon.es but it is always more expensive

Erik the Viking is hilarious and very entertaining

Europa Report (Only way to get it in 3D)

Made of Steel is only Dolby 2.0

Fragile: this release is apparently 1080i. There is another version available from amazon.es (apparently with 1080p) but it has DD 2.0

Kreator is a heavy metal band (if you like metal, you will definitely like it)

Tartarus (English subs)

A Simple Plan *The movie with the bird on the front* (Great movie)

Brassed Off is available in UK but is lossy audio

M. Same as Criterion but better packaging!

ITALY

[Show spoiler]

Equilibrium (Lossless Audio and great picture)

FRANCE

[Show spoiler][/BD]

The Jacket is also available from Japan.

Ghost Dog is also available in a 3 pack from the same country

Halloween H20 is a superior release and Halloween 6 is on par with the

Vampires is the John Carpenter one.

The Fearless Vampire Killers (good Roman Polanski movie) (Le bal des vampires)

Saw movies (Best uncut releases and all in a pack)

13th Warrior has a German release but has inferior packaging

Grudge 2 is only available in France. The pack is a good way to get all 3 together but is pricey. You can get movie 1 and 3 elsewhere

SPAIN

[Show spoiler]

The Cure is a very good movie

I would like to say that I understand there are already threads (outside of the Australian board) that lists existing and up and coming Blu-rays. For people like me, I have to literally visit every countries threads and view multiple websites/forums on a daily basis in order to get all of the info about what is already out or coming soon to Blu-ray worldwide. Quite frankly it is really annoying, so I thought I would start this thread to allow people to link and share any (new or old) news they thought was interesting or relevant to the nature of this topic.

I know a lot of movies that aren't specifically related to "Australian releases" are still mentioned often throughout The Aussie/Kiwi Last Blu-ray You Bought/Watched Thread but nowhere near or even close of a percentage to cover everything. However, if you have little time, forget or simply can't manage to read through multiple pages, then like me you would have never found out about International Blu-ray releases unless luckily catching a random post in the Australian board, or an email from somewhere.

If we band together I feel like we could keep each other stay up to date with crucial information. There is no need to make the process complicated, there are already many of us that read a lot of sites and forums, so all of our input is very simple to share and can only benefit the members and help encourage some teamwork What do you guys think?
