The only DC superhero I care about is Batman. The only Marvel superhero I care about is Spider-Man. Batman Returns is not only my favourite comic book film, but it's one of my top twenty favourite films in general and it's one I never tire of watching. An underrated masterpiece as far as I'm concerned. I love Spider-Man 2, but not quite that much. DC wins by default.

I am surprised the poll is so close, bet the younger members are voting Marvel and the older members are voting DC.

DC has my favorite heroes, but Marvel has put out the better movies so far. I think DC will be giving them a run for their money after Superman vs. Batman comes out.

Honestly my favorites from both of these companies are they're graphic novels..
On the marvel side there's kickass
On the dc side there V for vendetta

Aside from that spiderman from 2002 and batman begins are my favorites, xmen first class was awesome too

Marvel by default but it is kind of an unfair comparison. I'd say it goes like this:

Marvel Cinematic Universe > Nolan Batman Trilogy > Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy > Donner's Superman > Burton's Batman > X-Men.

I'm not sure where you're classifying "older", but I'm 47 and voted for Marvel. Better made movies all around, despite having so many studios involvement.

Heh there will be exceptions of course but for the purposes of this poll pretty sure the OP only meant the Marvel films that have been made under the Disney umbrella.

Hmm okay then, I still say DC outshines Marvel and Fox/Sony/etc for the most part but there are plenty of films for everyone to enjoy so I hope this thread stays civil.

Regarding the movies, it depends how you look at it I suppose. Be gentle.

Superman (1978) (Goes double for) -> Superman II (1980) -> MOS (2013) -> The Dark Knight (2008) The rest, fun popcorn movies, yes, good movies, no way.

Well I like how the OP refused to put up icons for the Burton Batman films, the Reeves Superman films or V for Vendetta.
