Default China Beach by Time Life!

China Beach: Season 1 DVD

China Beach: The Complete Series DVD

Hope you have deep wallets because the price is quite high.

http://timelife.com/products/china-b...S8uTl7pejSRGLw

$199 for 62 episodes is quite a premium price to pay for SD content. They even have the balls to charge an extra $74.95 if you want the bonus 25th anniversary goodies like a few scripts and cast photos. At the very least the scripts and photos should have been part of the $200 price point and just have a single sku.

Quote:
Includes 268 classic hit songs as they were played in the original broadcast.
Probably has a lot to do with the price point. At least they went all out instead of just replacing licensed music with generic music every so often like the Tour Of Duty dvd's.

I was hoping for individual seasons. Even so, the whole series shouldn't be any more than $100. No way in hell i'm buying it for $200.

Me too. The last lingering reason to spend the high amount went up in smoke after reading this

Time Life spent over a year painstakingly clearing the rights to hundreds of musical copyrights, so that the DVD collection would be released with nearly all of the original classic rock and soul music songs from the original broadcasts

What do you mean nearly. At $200, it should be fully intact.

According to TVShowonDVD, Time-Life will release individual seasons -- you just don't get the 2 bonus DVDs exclusive to the complete set. I'm fine with that because I don't have $200 to drop on a series:

I hope that SRP for the accidental listing on amazon is accurate.

Wish I watched this show when reruns aired on late night in the 90's. Just watched the pilot and was quite impressed.

Here's hoping the remaining seasons come out individually. S1 is $12.99 on amazon.ca which means that worse case the entire series should cost less than $100.

Glad I waited for the individual releases. It may have taken a while but with season 4 due to be released in just over two weeks time, I've only had to spend $74 total for the whole series. One exclusive bonus disc and box via time life is definitely not worth paying a whopping $126 extra for.

Amazon is releasing the complete 21-disc set on Oct. 7, 2014 which is the same as the TL version and should come down in price over time. Currently $179.96.

Noticed on Deep Discount there was another release of China Beach earlier this year, but I don't think it has the bonus discs.
