Land of Bad 4K UHD (2024)

Capelight Pictures has released the 2024 movie "Land of Bad" with Liam Hemsworth, Milo Ventimiglia and Russell Crowe in a Limited Steelbook-Edition on August 22th.

A member (leeloo) of the German-Language-Forum movieside.de has bought the edition and reports that the UHD and accompanying Blu-Ray come with an English-Language picture master. So the location text etc. are in English and not German. HDR-Options are Dolby Vision and HDR10. Sound is DTS-HD MA 5.1 for English and German. Subtitles are German, German (SDH), English (SDH), German (Location-Text).

The Steelbook is not a Store-Exclusive and available at other German retailers like amazon.de and jpc.de.

Just tried the Blu-Ray in my Region A-Player and it's not region locked.

Just watched on prime in HDR as I got it free with credits. Became a instant buy for me but didn't realize on physical 4k is via import. Hopefully U.S. release with Atmos comes along.

I think that’s unlikely as USA didn’t even get a BD release, just a DVD. At least in Canada, we got the BD.

Sucks, ill keep an eye out for a deal on the import version. Definitely much better than I anticipated.

Anyone do a comparison between the Blu and the 4K? I have the Canadian Blu-ray disc, which looks amazing but if there's a noticeable uptick in PQ from the 4K, I'll double dip because I absolutely loved this movie. I even got to see it in the theater during its ridiculously short release window.

I sprung for this from Orbit - $47 shipped.

The damn Steelbook came with a dent in the back that couldnt be seen through the packaging.

I’m happy to own this badass movie in 4K but this is why I hate steels. Its going on the shelf next to 13 hours.
