Does anyone know if Girl Interrupted will be coming out on Blu?

I was worried that could be the case. This is one of a very small handful of catalog titles that I would actually pay $30 for, but I hope I don't have to.

It is a Sony property, so there is absolutely no chance they would release it themselves on Blu-ray. A smaller distributor will have to license it from Sony, but it is very possible the studio doesn't have a decent transfer for a film that was created before the Digital Intermediate era in Hollywood.

I would not hold my breath waiting for it.

I thought this was a popular movie. I'm surprised to not see it on blu-ray, but...alas, Sony. I don't think I'd be willing to pay Twilight Time prices for it, however.

No news on a release? I'm shocked it hasn't seen a release anywhere, being Angelina Jolie won 3 awards for her role. I enjoyed it for Brittany Murphy though.

Girl, Interrupted is an amazing film, with stellar performances from the entire cast; this is also probably my favorite WR performance...the late '60's soundtrack is also incredible...

I re-watched the DVD a while back, and the PQ was just alright - it may look alright on a smaller set, but it's not that impressive when watching it on a large HD screen....

I'd love this movie on blu. I remember watching it not long after I got out of a psych ward myself (I was in the midst of a deep, dark, opiate/alcohol addiction - sober 9 years!). For some reason, I look back on this movie fondly because I really connected with it when I first watched it.

Shame there's been no announcement on this, considering Maleficent was out recently too you'd have thought maybe it would have been the perfect opportunity to release it with Angelina being at the forefront of everyone's minds.

I love this film and I'm hoping we hear some news soon. I've noticed that most people don't speak a lot of films made between 1998 and the early 2000s. There were some solid films in that time and many haven't been rewarded with a bluray release.
