Never thought any fan films would get permission to be sold, BUT THEN George sold the franchise, and I guess new minds are calling the shots.

I have seen this countless times in the 80's on HBO. I always enjoyed this short and this isn't a criticism, but it's amazing that Hardware Wars has "a 1080p HD scan and a scene by scene color correction" and the film it's spoofing does not.

So, my Amazon pre-order hasn't shipped and they aren't taking anymore orders for it. The listing now says Amazon doesn't know when, or even if, they'll ever have it in stock. Was this BD cancelled?

I just emailed the creators about it yesterday but haven't heard back. People are selling them on eBay but perhaps there's a problem with shipments? I dunno

I was looking forward to it as well.

So why didn't they discuss they're plans BEFORE they announced the bluray. ?? Everything should've been arranged and agreed upon with both parties BEFORE announcing publicly releasing it on Bluray!

I'd guess at this point: no. Mind you, I'd buy it straight away if it ever did come out, especially in that Bambi Meets Godzilla package. Geeze, I rented that tape SO many times as a kid. . . .

I got so excited about this thread and read that this will not be released on blu ray. I hope someday maybe Shout Factory will pick this up.
