Default Bleeder (Nicolas Winding Refn, Kim Bodina, Mads Mikkelsen)

Anyone buy this or the Germany (3 x mediabooks (666 copies each) I think) or the Scanbox releases?

I know none are English friendly I'll just add my own subtitles hopefully the French isn't encoded into the video.

Nicolas Winding Refn's Bleeder [1999] - New Restoration

There's a 2nd version released in France too:

Got this yesterday and watched it (added my own subtitles).

Looks amazing I was not expecting that at all. If that's what we're getting from the new Pusher Trilogy I can't wait. I went with the 2.0 stereo there's some sort of 5.1 mix too.

Disc plays with no problems in a locked A player and the French subtitles are removable.

How's the included interview with Refn and Mikkelsen? I assume it's in Danish but that lengthy conversation alone would be a purchase argument if it's in English.

It's an excellent 48min interview seemed quite new (1080 video) I'd certainly not seen it before.

It's all English with title cards in French (eg 'why did you decide to make Bleeder?' sort of thing). Subtitles can be removed.

It is interlaced video (24i) so if you have a native A player that doesn't sort that problem it likely won't play.

Hello folks,

Purchased the 'Pusher' 4K Trilogy recently and it's quite an upgrade from the DVD releases of the past.
If the 'Pusher' box set turns out to be a commercial success there's a chance that 'Bleeder' will get a 4K release as well. One can only hope...
NWR's movies need more recognition, personally I would like to see a decent release of 'Fear X',this movie certainly deserves it.
