Default Klipsh vs Monitor Audio vs Magnat vs Bowers & Wilkins vs Polk vs Kef (Movie viewing)

Which brand do you guys prefer for a home theater? Watching only Movies. No music, whatsoever.

I am new in this subject and these are the only brands I can buy locally.

Thanks. Any suggestions are welcome!

Hello dazkyl!

This may sound like a generic answer, but with speakers, it is highly recommended.....I suggest going to take a listen yourself (if you can.) Each brand has its own own sonic signature whereupon one person may like the "airy highs" of one particular brand and another person would consider it "too forward." In other words, my ears will differ from yours, so if you could listen to each (using the same power source, aka amplifier, would also help), your ears could answer this for you (of course, if you have a budget, that could change your decision as well.)

I've never heard of Magnat audio before, I personally don't like Polk or Klipsh. I would go with Kef or Bowers and Wilkins (I have had Bowers and Wilkins speakers for about 20 years, I couldn't be happier.)

It always going to depend on the quality. I know you can easily spend upwards of 50k on Bowers and Wilkins, Klipsch is probably more affordable, Polk is Best Buy quality.

Long time Polk and Yamaha disciple here

I prefer warmer tone with plenty of space in the midrange
