Lionsgate will be releasing Francis Ford Coppola's Twixt (2011), which also goes by the name B'Twixt, and also B'Twixt Now and Sunrise. This will be a new cut called The Authentic Cut, which is described as:

Ugh. Twixt. The thing I remember most about this movie was walking out of it at tiff 2011. Complete and utter garbage.
One of Coppola's absolute worst films. I can't even believe he made it. |

Excellent film, smart and funny examination of art, history, abuse, media, etc.
Is the existing disc OOP? |

The listing here has the runtime at 129 minutes, up from the theatrical cut's 88 excruciating minutes. Yikes.
Edit: That runtime must be an error. Looks like this new version screened in November at Cinematheque at the Cleveland Institute of Art, and it's listed at 90 minutes. Whew. Last edited by EvilAshLives; 01-11-2023 at 01:41 PM. |

But it says "The Authentic Cut" for some reason, right?

For me personally this film is the nadir of Coppola's career (no I haven't seen Jack) but I admire that he followed through with his aspirations to create more personal, experimental films later in life. Which is something Lucas, with all his billions, never attempted.
I thought Tetro was fantastic, for the record. And I might even be willing to give this another try as I'm intrigued by Coppola's new revisionist takes on his own films. I'm just really surprised this is being announced without any indication as to what the new cut is. I mean are they trying to sell this or... |

There's two things my curiosity can never avoid, and the second is when a movie gets a new cut.
The first is when snack foods come out with a new flavor to make the thing taste like another thing. |
