Default Blue vs Red

Blue is clearly much better than Red.

Blue is the colour of the sky and the sea. It is a cool colour. Soothing.

The Democrats are blue and in these last elections the US population clearly showed a swing from red to blue. They are starting to see the light.

Blue is a higher frequency than red and so media using lasers is much better off using blue lasers than red lasers.

Blue leds on equipment looks cool - red leds are so last century. Everything is going blue these days.

Blue packets of M&Ms are easily the best kind.

Red represents bad things like communists.

Fire engines are red because they go to dangerous places.

Stop signs are red. Nobody likes to have to stop.

In traffic lights, the red light is easily the worst one.

Red things are hot and dangerous. You wanna steer clear of red things.

Anger and red are commonly associated... like 'I saw red' and 'red rag to a bull'. You don't wanna be seeing red. It ruins your day and often other people's days as well.

Blood is also red - and that is one thing you certainly don't wanna see - especially your own.

All kinds of skin diseases are red - and you don't want any of that.

Red tape is a really bad kind of tape - you don't wanna get caught up in red tape.

So remember - blue is good - red is bad.

My car is blue. I love my car. I could never see myself owning a red car...

<- even that is blue <- and that.

<- that is red. That is what red is all about.

So remember ... stay away from red. Stick with blue. It is way better.

I agree with everything except the third item. I like to think that the US had one big brain fart on tuesday.

Sex, religion, politics: They just don't belong on forums like these. The Internet is the worst medium in the world for any kind of conversations on those topics. It just never works out and never ends well. (Kind of like in real life more often than not.)

Other than that third item, great post!

Interesting.

But this is how it is sometimes when you believe so much in something like red where it turns out that you are in fact not the majority after all and that more of the people believe in blue.

This only becomes apparent when there are hard numbers instead of internet polls run by biased parties...

It's good to see someone in the USA that knows how to spell colour.

phloyd-

Seriously, I think you should stop now. You have already seen posts above suggesting that this be nipped in the bud, but now you are continuing to go on. As others have said, this will NOT turn out well.

People here get along pretty well overall. We have our love of HT in common. But bringing politics into this forum will change all of that very quickly. This is especially so when you make comments like you did above.

Lets put this thread to rest. For the good of the forum.

Yes, please.

I'm really not interested in reading socialist propoganda here just like I'm sure some of you aren't interested in reading some of my more conservative views. So let's leave it at that.

agreed, let's just end the political stance.

really, i personally don't care. what i do care about is people telling me how to think and what is right and wrong. brain farts or not, we don't need to be discussing them here.

Exactly right.

I come to forums like these to have fun.

This is as far removed from it as you can get.

I'm with JTK. No reason to bring politics into this discussion. Absolutely no good will come of it and might end up getting some folks banned who otherwise have a lot to contribute here.

Sex, religion, politics.

In real life, in polite mixed company these are the three no-nos and on most Internet forums there are are rules that pretty much forbid those subjects for all the obvious reasons.

If those rules aren't in place here, they should be. Even AVS is good about keeping all of that under control.

We can already see where this thread is headed as a result: It just isn't going to end well.

Those three topics just have no place on forums like these.

That's my story.

A number of members have reported this thread, and I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I agree that nothing good can come of this. There are just some things in life that people can't agree on, and politics is one of them. There are places to discuss these topics, but this isn't one of them (we have enough fun with politics of Blu-ray vs HD DVD).

Closing.
