Wanting this in 4K very soon. Starring Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Michael Biehn. Hopefully it can have some bonus content, also trailers and tv spots in HD.

And Lance Henriksen and Paul Winfield.

Awesome film - needs a 4K soon.
"Aliens" and "Alien³" too!

I've been looking at my movies and thinking of which one I want the most in UHD and Terminator keeps jumping out.

I really hope someone like Arrow can get the license. I could see it looking really amazing with the right care.

Hell no. Global release with global disc and multiple audios. Distributed by Warner would be ideal. No boutique handling for such a title!

The Cameron approval clause has limited who wants it. Kino does not want it, Kino said another boutigue had it but dropped it after the Cameron clause was brought up.

Arrow is not going to go through hoops to make a disc, they already went through that ordeal with Cruising.

Arrow is planning on releasing a 4K version of The Terminator this October, as well as a new 4K transfer of Terminator 2: Judgement Day (Special Edition and Extended Edition)

Those fake covers are even worse than the fake covers I saw the other day. Therefore, I will not be buying these fake releases.

Arrow cannot licence T2 and no way Amazon work with them after their tantrums toward Disney on twitter.

They are all in on Universal now.

How many times do you want to re-post this garbage?
It's getting annoying. In every blog that has anything to do with Arrow or Terminator, these stupid posts from you are coming up.

BTW, I noticed The Terminator showed up on Prime in Australia, so I had a look at the audio. I do work on bass equalization over avs forum so I look at audio tracks. Anyhow, the audio on the Prime digital is so different and cleaner than all the prior tracks, it looks like a remaster. I have no idea if this is from a new source or some unknown version, but it is definitely the audio track I'll use from now on watching this.

That's weird my post was deleted...
T1 had a remix on the DCP years back, it's getting better slowly while T2 is getting worse and worse

Hmm, had this remix shown up before on some release? The old remastered br and the original blu-ray had ostensibly the same mix, different encoding..

At least this one is better. It sucks, like The Italian Job, the new audio is horrible. The only decent one is the German lossless.

Zero percent chance a 4K of The Terminator would be better than the Remastered Blu-ray.

No. Pretty sure it's an April Fools gag considering the date it was posted. But if it was real, it would be arguably the greatest release duo in 4K history, despite the awful artwork (assuming Arrow did the restoration themselves)

I seem to recall the teal tint on that transfer was quite distracting. Also a 4K disc would present another opportunity to include the original mono mix at lossless.

A 4K disc would present an opportunity for James Cameron to **** it up.
