Planet Earth Problem on my Sharp Aquos player?

I tried to play the Planet Earth discs in my Sharp Aquos Blu-Ray player and disc would go only as far as the menu screen. Once I selected play it would freeze. Does anybody know what might be wrong?

I had the same problem.

Reset your Blu-Ray player by pushing (for 5 sec) the Reset button. I did it once and the Planet Earth Disc worked fine.

Was this, by chance, a Netflix disc? I have heard that Netflix discs incur damage in the mail.

Netflix Planet Earth 3 would not play in my Pioneer/Elite BDP-94HD. However, it played fine in my Sony Playstation 3.

Had a similar problem where it got as far the "2" in the "2 entertain" logo. I had to exchange it.

i haven't had any problems with mine, yet.....

I just packed mine up and set it back to Amazon. Disc one is locking up 3/4 the way into the Mountain episode. It will freeze for about 15 sec then skip ahead and start playing again.
