Amazon Fire Stick

My friend has an Amazon Fire Stick, and while I was helping him set it up I noticed there were settings for Stereoscopic. He only has a 2D tv, so I couldn't tell if it would allow 3D streaming (and he wouldn't let me take it home to try it out). Anyone have a fire stick, and have you looked into the stereoscopic settings? Do we know if it supports 3D?

I have seen 3d films available on uk turks, but I use the stick on a 2d pana and kodi failed me lately so have never give it a go

tempting as it is free, but streaming I often find too much of a pain or bad quality- I would rather pay for the disk and watch it in perfect quality unless it was a naff one I wasn't fussed on

Update: Installed kodi on a fire stick, it DOES support 3D playback. So there.

Hi smaugone,. I have one of those Asian box type internet browsers for TV sets while haven't used it for a long while. It does have kodi built in and free but I never bothered looking up 3D. The menu on these boxes aren't so simple.

Does kodi stream 3D content? Can hook the box to that 3D video Wizard for a lark.

Hey Joe, I watched the first five minutes of Antman in 3D. It was side by side, not sure of the resolution, but it was watchable. There were a few 3D titles there that i would like to see, but can't afford to,anymore.

There are some of products in the market support side by side content transfer to frame packing.

The SlingPlayer app on the Amazon Fire TV UHD edition now operates correctly, as it does on the previous Amazon Fire TV. And kodi 14.2 operates more reliably than before, but still has issues with UHD content through kodi.
