There were quite a few movies from that year which I love (it was also the year a theater opened less than a mile from my home, which led to my love of movies), but my personal favorite is Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I was a teenager and that movie was the ultimate fantasy. It's smart, poignant, and screamingly funny.
