Default Paradise, P.D. (Netflix, 2018)

Following the recent announcement of upcoming series Tuca & Bertie, Netflix has greenlit Paradise, P.D., another addition to its steadily growing assortment of adult comedy series.

Waco O’Guin and Roger Black, the creators of Comedy Central’s Brickleberry, have once again teamed up to helm this comedy about the truly terrible cops of a small town’s police department. The series is set to premiere later this year, with an order for 10 x 30-minute episodes.

Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment will co-produce Paradise, P.D. with Bento Box Animation (Brickleberry, Bob’s Burgers). The voice cast includes Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants) as Chief Randall Crawford and Dana Snyder (Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Squidbillies) as both Stanley Hopson and Dusty Marlow. Cedric Yarbrough, Dave Herman, Sarah Chalke, and Kyle Kinane also provide voices.

Since it's not airing here, I've never seen an episode of Brickleberry. What cartoon show is most alike?

I watched the first episode way back when and it felt like a really bad attempt at replicating Seth MacFarlane humor. So those kinds of shows maybe?

I kinda expected that when I saw the animation style. Guess I was hoping for something else. Or a bit different. We'll see. I'll give this a fair chance.

Brickleberry was (is?) on Netflix here in Canada. I only watched a couple of episodes. It's pretty awful. Not even remotely in the league of Bojack or Big Mouth.

I think they mean Tom Kenny of Puppy Dog Pals

I don't like any of the shows this is associated with, so I'll skip it.. but cool for those that are into it.

Damn, not on Netflix here. Neither on our version of Comedy Central. Big Mouth was very enjoyable, Bojack is good. But I'm a bigger fan of F is for Family, especially the superior second season. And Rick and Morty, no doubt.

I might end up checking this one out soon enough but i heard Big Mouth is better if you like foul mouth type humor that is.

Paradise P.D. is back for season 3. Yeah it's more crude than clever, but i can't stop watching. Some content I'm suprised it was allowed to air. I'll recommend, for adults only though!
