Is it true the concept has been reversed, so that the pretty-people are the heroes and the outcasts are the villains?

I thought the trailer was awful, but the first episode really wasn't that bad. I'd say I kinda enjoyed it.

New Chandler is still vicious, though in a completely new way.

'Heathers' Reboot Delayed Following Parkland Shooting

The Viacom-owned cable network has opted to push its satirical reboot of 1980s cult hit film Heathers from its March 7 debut for a launch later this year. A formal date has not been determined.

"Paramount Network’s original series Heathers is a satirical comedy that takes creative risks in dealing with many of society’s most challenging subjects ranging from personal identity to race and socio-economic status to gun violence," the cabler said Wednesday in a statement. "While we stand firmly behind the show, in light of the recent tragic events in Florida and out of respect for the victims, their families and loved ones, we feel the right thing to do is delay the premiere until later this year."

Paramount Network maintains that the satirical reboot of the late 1980s cult favorite will air this year.

The Pilot was absolutely terrible. The JD actor doesn't have the charisma of Slater. In fact all of the actors have no talent, and no charisma.

Absolute garbage.

I still don't know why the hell they made this in the first place. It's not like massive school shootings are exclusive to 2018, so they really can't rest on that crutch over and over again. Let's just be honest. This was a stupid idea, that turned out like ass, and is a complete embarrassment to everyone involved. Just can it already.

Wow.

So many potential reboots/spin-offs getting turfed but at least Magnum P.I. is still coming. That last quote is weird though and raises some eyebrows.

I had no interest in this and thought it aired already. Oops. Give it to Netflix, they'll take anything.

A shame it never got a chance. Their excuse is really weak given how Scream Queens and Scream all focused on highschool murders.

Murder is a broad term though, this was because of all the gun/school shooting stuff that's in the show apparently. Though I don't really see why what's happening in the world should really change TV stuff, people don't HAVE to watch it. There's hundreds of other channel and multiple handfuls of streaming services to choose from, if a subject matter is too sensitive or something offends you in some way, you can easily find something else.

Did Paramount produce this, or did they just acquire it to air from another production company? If it's THEIR property then if nothing else I don't see why they didn't just throw them all up up on the app/online/on demand if they've already paid everybody and filmed everything.

I feel you, movies/TV/music are luxury art forms. Nobody is forcing you to watch/listen. Also, its not the 50's/60's there are so many networks to watch to the point of it being too much.

Gangster Squad changed by WB due to Aurora Co. Shooting
http://ew.com/article/2012/07/23/war...rora-shooting/

And in the news this week is that game somewhere that features a school massacre. Now news outlets, family groups, and Senators are putting Grand Theft Auto on blast instead of more intelligible choices like FPS. I never hear school age kids talking GTA, its CoD, CoD, CoD. TN rep even blames 'online pornography' for school shootings.

The world has gone insane and most people cant accept responsibility for their own actions. There is only a scapegoat, no accountability. Its a shame.

Any show planning a school shooting might as well edit or cancel itself before filming, because with the way things go here in the good ol' USofA, the next time a show can air a "respectful amount of time" after a school shooting will likely be October 4, 2363.

I love the series. I'm about to watch episode 3 and 4 tonight. I was able to find them online, uploaded from their overseas broadcasts. I wish someone in the US would pick it up, or at least get a digital release somewhere.
