'Heathers' Reboot Delayed Following Parkland Shooting
The Viacom-owned cable network has opted to push its satirical reboot of 1980s cult hit film Heathers from its March 7 debut for a launch later this year. A formal date has not been determined. "Paramount Network’s original series Heathers is a satirical comedy that takes creative risks in dealing with many of society’s most challenging subjects ranging from personal identity to race and socio-economic status to gun violence," the cabler said Wednesday in a statement. "While we stand firmly behind the show, in light of the recent tragic events in Florida and out of respect for the victims, their families and loved ones, we feel the right thing to do is delay the premiere until later this year." Paramount Network maintains that the satirical reboot of the late 1980s cult favorite will air this year. |

I still don't know why the hell they made this in the first place. It's not like massive school shootings are exclusive to 2018, so they really can't rest on that crutch over and over again. Let's just be honest. This was a stupid idea, that turned out like ass, and is a complete embarrassment to everyone involved. Just can it already.

Did Paramount produce this, or did they just acquire it to air from another production company? If it's THEIR property then if nothing else I don't see why they didn't just throw them all up up on the app/online/on demand if they've already paid everybody and filmed everything. |

Gangster Squad changed by WB due to Aurora Co. Shooting http://ew.com/article/2012/07/23/war...rora-shooting/ And in the news this week is that game somewhere that features a school massacre. Now news outlets, family groups, and Senators are putting Grand Theft Auto on blast instead of more intelligible choices like FPS. I never hear school age kids talking GTA, its CoD, CoD, CoD. TN rep even blames 'online pornography' for school shootings. The world has gone insane and most people cant accept responsibility for their own actions. There is only a scapegoat, no accountability. Its a shame. |

Any show planning a school shooting might as well edit or cancel itself before filming, because with the way things go here in the good ol' USofA, the next time a show can air a "respectful amount of time" after a school shooting will likely be October 4, 2363.

I love the series. I'm about to watch episode 3 and 4 tonight. I was able to find them online, uploaded from their overseas broadcasts. I wish someone in the US would pick it up, or at least get a digital release somewhere.
