Warner will finally be releasing Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! on 4K UHD this holiday. Release date is set for October 29th. No cover art, or details have been posted yet, but I'll update the post when they are.

I imagine that disc having room for the other Dr. Seuss specials that Warner has released in HD, but are there any that people here would rather see in 4K?
I also wonder if this'll mark Warner's first time releasing How the Grinch Stole Christmas! with lossless audio.

Oh excellent! Not quite important enough to preorder this one (for me personally) so I hope it is out early enough to get a sale on black friday, I did manage to snag all the holiday stuff (Christmas Vacation, Peanuts, Holiday Inn etc) during preorder sale for only $20 or so each, so if they do that again I'll just buy it then. Hoping White Christmas is announced too, oh and while we're at it Christmas in Connecticut!

I remember when I first watched this as part of the MGM Cartoon Christmas VHS set! Haven't sat down to watch this in about 15 years. Definitely will pick this up!

Of course it won't be an upscale… I'm willing to guess it's going to be a fresh remaster from the OCN or a 35mm interpositive, but either way I have no doubts the results will be splendid, especially for animation of this nature with its intensely strong, deeply saturated colors.

The greatest cartoon ever made, and probably the one movie I've seen more in my life than any other. Since this will hopefully be the last physical release for it, no doubt I'll be buying this if it's done right.
