Default Projector help/recommendations

I recently purchased a Nicpow projector off Amazon last “Prime Day” (along with a giant screen) and I am really enjoying having my own little movie theater in the living room, much to the chagrin of my wife.

I’m not a big tech person, I rigged a sound bar up to it and that’s fine for me, however, the projector won’t run audio for films with Dolby sound nor will it play sound for DVDs. My 3 and a half year old son has, by some miracle, become fond of the Jungle Jim films and old Tarzans. I’d love to be able to watch these on my giant screen with him.

Can anyone please bring recommend a projector that works with DVDs and/or one that works with Dolby sound?

“Boy’s nights” with my son have become a weekly occurrence now, where we camp out on the living room floor and fall asleep watching everything from Abbot and Costello meet the Mummy to Ghostbusters to the Iron Giant…it’s been a bummer a few times when we throw something in and the sound doesn’t work.

I’d be willing to fork out some cash for a new one if it would support dvd and/or Dolby audio.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
-Stan
