This limited collector's edition comprises:

- Five discs in a stylish digipak, including two UHD and three Blu-ray, with the Hammer content duplicated across both formats. The BBC content is presented in Standard Definition on Region B formatted Blu-ray disc.
- Three iterations of Quatermass 2: the widescreen 1.66:1 UK Theatrical Version, the fullscreen 1.37:1 As-Filmed Version and the widescreen 1.85:1 US Theatrical Version re-titled Enemy from Space.
- Brand-new 5.1 mix for all three versions alongside the original mono film soundtrack.
- Additional German and Italian audio for all three versions. English, French, Italian, Spanish and German subtitles on all versions of the film.

I used to have a Science Fiction encyclopaedia, published mid-90s, that insisted the Hammer version was inferior to the TV version for jettisoning the "exciting voyage into space". I don't know how easy it was to see the TV version back then, but it turned out the finale takes place in a room with chairs covered with tarpaulin simulating the Moon due to the money running out.

Very exciting news! This is definitely worth buying the deluxe shelf-space-eating edition. I received my first Hammer LE a couple days ago (Four Sided Triangle) and the book is outstanding. Great quality and layout compared to what I usually see from boutiques.

Well, Quatermass and the Pit belongs to StudioCanal now, and even though Hammer has stated that they are trying to see if they can make deals for some of the many titles they do not own themselves as a company anymore, so far we have not had any indication that they have succeeded.

It would be fantastic, if they could do a deal with SC. Sc have a lot of the fun titles from the 1960-1970s in their catalogue.

Well, you may say that, but them including the BBC serials as extra discs is a clear indication that they are licensing material owned by others.

Really excited for this one now, after receiving ''Xperiment' today.

I love the treatment they gave to the Xperiment, and am eagerly awaiting my copy of 2, but I really hate having the Hammer studio video play in front of everything. I don't mind a play when I initially put the disk in, but I'm excited for my black and white film, and the lurid color trailer they play really doesn't set the mood for the film.

Still grateful for the releases, just wishing they could dial this back!
