I know, it's in French. It's ok, just look @ the pictures.
And you can also use a translator, I am one. This little guy is approximately 51 pounds, French pounds. No toroidal...it's a bummer. They also forgot to put a tuner inside, so it's not a receiver. The DACs, for people who care (I do) are most likely from AKM Verita. I would prefer ESS Pro Sabre DACs like they use in some Yamaha receivers but "enfin". * The biggest Denon receiver ever weighted 97 pounds, net. So this guy with 13 channels of amplification is roughly half, few pounds more...two. It's not a $500 receiver, it's a $5,000 receiver (Canadian dollars, et sans le tuner). It's for people who want a 9.2.4 or 7.2.6 setup without additional amps. Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro-3D. It's the receiver with the most internal powered amps...thirteen. I remember my first receiver, it was a mono receiver, with AM mono radio inside. So, twelve less channels. They sure expanded our receivers from back then, no kidding. |

What, no tuner, no AM/FM/HD radio, they must have been sleeping when they design it. That or it's a mistake. AVC is ok; an integrated amplifier, but AVR means a receiver. ...Audio/Visual machine...one way or/and the other.

Ouf, I feel more relaxed now; it comes with a FM wire antenna and an AM loop antenna inside the box, so there must be an AM/FM radio tuner inside the component's chassis.
• https://www.crutchfield.com/S-JiyJC7...0H-Silver.html HD radio? I don't know but I would also think so. |

Yes, it has an OTA AM/FM receiver built-in, but I also believe the thinking was that the built-in TuneIn AM/FM radio would satisfy most folks and the added ability to tune-in to tens of thousands of radio stations Worldwide would add value to most users.
I'm not trying to defend this receiver, although I love the performance and would love for you to hear how Denon's new flagship receiver performs in person. We have Denon's AVR-X8500H set-up in our main showroom with Dynaudio's Contour 5.1 speaker system and it also powers 8 additional speakers in 3 rooms throughout our showroom. Everyone who hears this system tells us it's the best surround sound audio they have ever heard. Let's plan a vacation to NY so you can participate in our 2018 TV Shootout! |
