Default What comic do you think would make a good movie?

I saw someone do a similar topic but for video games. However what comic book would make a good movie is what I was thinking about. I would have to say Impaler. It is a good twist on the whole vampire and vlad the impaler thing. I would also like to see House of Mysterys as well. It's a strange Vertigo book.

Runaways.

A film version is in the works written by Brian K. Vaughn who Lost fans should be very familiar with. I have more faith in this adaptation as it is coming from the man who created the original.

Don't get you're hopes up, their not using his script for Y: The Last Man.

I know it's already been discussed, but a Dr. Strange movie would be cool. If I had to pick another, I am split between Moon Knight and Darkhawk (though I think Moon Knight would probably appeal to a wider audience).

I forgot about Moon Knight for some reason. Yeah he would definitely be a great R rated comic movie. He is completely brutal in the comics. I don't think Darkhawk would work very well. To me it just wouldn't click very well with the audience. I am curious to see the Thor movie and if it is going to be done right.

I think a good Vertigo movie would be cool. Sandman would be cool if done right, but I think that it would be hard to keep it similar to what Gaiman laid out and I think that it would turn out kinda bad. I think that either Y the last man, fables, or 100 bullets would translate somewhat easily to a movie, while keeping somewhat accurate to the comic, and would like to see any of those.

I would love to see a movie based on Invincible and as one other memeber stated, Runaways would be great too if they could find the proper teen cast for the movie.

A few other properties that I think would be cool to see adapted right:
- The Sword (I think this one is in development actually)
- Ex Machina ( Would be really hard to adapt into a movie but a T.V. series could work)

Supposedly the Preacher series has been dusted off and back in developement. I have seen pictures of some make tests for Arse-Face. That is an amazing story. I wonder who would play the Saint of Killers? They are also supposedly working on another similar book I can't remember the name of. I read a while back that they were working on a 100 bullets movie but never heard anything since. I do hope they make a new Hellblazer movie. After getting into the series I think it could do really well if it is kept more to the book than being americanized.

I thought of another possibly cool one. Nightwing or the New Batgirl. The current batgirl is a former assassin for Slade Wilson. It is actually his daughter I think. She has trouble coping with her assassin instincts and batmans rules and training. Also it would be Awsome to adapt the Hush story into the next Batman movie or movies. It was a great story. Hush is definitely worth reading for any good comic dork.

They do something similar up here in Canada {not sure if it's down in the 'States as well} called Grog Mandoon and the flaming sword of fire. It's actually quite funny.

As for my comic book pick:

Cloak & Dagger.

You mean comics that have never been adapted on the big screen? In that case, I would suggest Incal and the Caste of Metabarons from Hodorkovsky as well as the Chakan the Forever Man from Robert Chraus.

Actually, I would really like to see "The Rockateer" (Rest in peace Dave and Bettie) made again by someone other than Disney.

The original Dave Steven's work on this limited series of books is stunning.

Obviously, Superman Red Son from the DC Elsewhere comics.

It would be the best Superman movie ever!

The budget alone would be monstrous, but Kingdom Come deserves a movie, maybe even a mini-series. Everyone would love to see Superman throw down with Captain Marvel in pitched battle.

I want to see that.

Or Crisis on Infinite Earth's.

Or anything with Dr. Fate.
