Not something I'd rewatch but glad it's getting a US release and on 4K too since Australia got both.

Is it me, or isnt it a missed opportunity to bundle this with all of his videos remastered on an extras disc?

The first like, 1/3 of this movie is hysterical. I lost interest by the end; first it just keeps reusing the same jokes and then it turns into a rather unfunny action comedy. It's very uneven. But wow, is the first part great. And it never gets BAD, just...a lot less good than the first part.

For Weird Al wishlist items, I want a re-release of his saturday morning show. I used to watch that back when it aired. By the time I found out there was a DVD of it, it was long OOP and way too much on the secondary market!

Imported the Umbrella AU release assuming it wouldn't be released stateside. Funny how that goes. Nice to see though, might have to double-dip if there's some neat extras thrown in (a commentary track with Al would be nice)

Would probably be more worth it as a stand-alone release. Maybe Shout can do a UHD for UHF, and Blu-rays for Compleat Al and The Weird Al Show (I think my set still has the out-of-sync audio).

I hope so.

UHF has one of the best commentary tracks ever, IMO. It's what I compare all other commentary tracks to.

I grew up in Tulsa, and was there when he filmed UHF. His track is essentially a tour of the city and I love it.

Great surprise. Not a masterpiece, but creative and funny. If you're well-learned about Al's life, it's a lot funnier. Biggest laugh from me was the ending, though.

I do think a Blu-ray is feasible for his music videos, but I'd expect a standalone release instead of as an extra. He posted a remastered version of the Eat It video not too long ago that looked quite nice. I think other than the videos for his first album and Christmas at Ground Zero, his pre-2000s videos were all shot on film.

I agree with this 100%. It starts incredibly strong but starts running out of steam about halfway through. Glad to see it getting a physical release though.
