Mongol 2007 vs. Mongol 2008 - Question - Blu-ray Forum

Hello fellow blu-rayers,
I'd like some clarification if possible on Mongol for Blu-ray. I haven't seen the 2008 version, (russian film-maker Sergei Bodrov), and the official Blu-ray forum pre-order thread lists the 2007 version;

However, I'm more interested in;

My questions are;

a) Are these the same versions? [maybe Amazon.com made a type-o, as both versions have Tadanobu Asano for an actor] 200"7" vs. 200"8"

b) If there not the same versions, does anybody have an ETA on the 2008 blu-ray version?

[I guess It'd be 3 questions, as opinions on both movies would be welcome]

2007 is the original theatrical release in Russia which is the date used by Amazon. It was released in the US in 2008. The Blu-ray which just got delayed until October is this movie.

Mongol was supposed to be release Sep. 9th was just pushed back to Oct. 14th.

I quess that's no so bad, just 5 weeks.

Mongol should be a great Blu-Ray movie.

I am certaintly looking forward to it's release date.

I want this bugger too. Apparently it's supposed to be the first of a trilogy.
