Up on Target, they’re listing 4K & 3D. Not sure if the 3D will stick. https://www.target.com/p/wonders-of-...d/-/A-77467877

darn 3d seems gone, this had amazing 3d

weirder, is every single store says it is sold out already
there was one on ebay, but I just missed it
did they print like 10 copies total?

The 3d was really good in this. The documentary I thought was decent. Arnold narrates about 20% of it.

Really wish this was not out of stock EVERYWHERE. Same thing happened with A Beautiful Planet for the first three months after release.

yeah, it was ridiculous, every single store was already out by like 2PM or something on day 1 of the release, they printed so few that ebay scalpers can't even scalp it as a rarity, so rare they couldn't even get any

bizarre they printed up virtually no copies and failed to include 3D in the mix consdiering it was a 3D only theatrical release

scarcer than hen's teeth, but if by some miracle you do find a copy:
the main file uses up almost all of the disc, so the bitrate should be pretty solid since this is just a 1hr20m long movie, should be a better rate than most big titles get

quick few second long peek looks to be detailed and very rich in color, very nice, great flash

Question

Found a listing here:

https://www.familyvideo.com/wonders-...ea-3d-10145454

No 3D, but it says it’s the 4K at least. What do you think about this one?

That must be the UHD incorrectly listed as 3-D. When initially listed months ago, the set was said to be 3-D. But no 3-D release ever got out.

If it's too good to be true, it usually is. I ordered based on the "in stock" description on the website... then after my credit card was charged and the charge posted to my account I got an email stating it's backordered for 4+ weeks.

Lame.

It's strange how this was released but can't find a copy anywhere.

Anyway, sent this email. Feel free to copy and paste if you fell for it like I did.

To whom this may concern,
Regarding Order Number: XXXXXXXX

Please cancel this order and refund my credit card immediately. I don't appreciate that my card was charged and then I received an email that states the item is backordered after your website said the item was in stock.
This is a shady practice. If not refunded I will be initiating a dispute with my credit card company.

Thanks.

What a fantastic Fathom events that was, the 3D was amazing! And what VIBRANT colors!

I got the UHD as soon as I could (which was tricky, they barely made any, it's a rather rare UHD). It's fantastic, but was disappointed they removed the 3D version at the last minute.

It's actually not true that all 3D versions for home were cancelled though. I noticed a few weeks ago that Italy got a blu-ray release that claimed (although the listings wre a bit vague and uncertain) to include the 3D and it does! So now I have the 3D version as well! I'd scoop either version up sooner rather than later, neither is a common disc from what I see. The UHD often not available anyway at times and this 3D from Italy doesn't seem too common at this point.
