Default Batman: The Long Halloween (DCAU)

Batman: The Long Halloween Animated Movie Confirmed

Quote:
But arguably the biggest news reveal is the panel’s confirmation of rumors that the acclaimed storyline Batman: The Long Halloween will receive a two-part animated feature film adaptation.

Part one of Batman: The Long Halloween will debut in the summer of 2021, with the second and final installment due out in the fall of next year.

Really hyped for this animated adaptation, but my concern is the animation. Hoping more in line with Year One & The Dark Knight Returns and not in the style of The Killing Joke.

Yeah. That art style is important for TLH. If it looked too "normal" it'd be disappointing. It's a very heightened look.

Excited and afraid for this. They already ruined Hush my favorite comic. That was dog shit. Hope this is at least an accurate adaptation.

We had the motion comic, but yes I would like to see a fully animated version of Watchmen too.

I have read 5 full comic books in my whole life (all Batman), and this is one of them. Very stoked to see what they do with this.

I think with the “new 52” slate of movies finished with and that this will come in two parts, then I have every reason to believe this will be a complete faithful adaptation. Very much in vein of another two part story that happened with Dark Knight Returns which was faithful to the book.

Maybe they are finally listening to the fans after the previous adaptations. At least Gaslight had a good twist. Couldn’t buy it for Hush.

Hoping for conroy but I’m not expecting it. Maybe all new voice talent. Lots to look forward to with this film.

Don't forget The Killing Joke, arguably the best Batman/Joker story ever written.

Love the comic, but come on, the adaptation to animation is crap. I couldn't even finish the movie.
