I don't buy 4K Ultra, my Epson 5010 and blu ray player (2013) play beautifully enough for me. So, I'm not upgrading.
I do buy Criterion and Flicker Alley films that are 4K transfers. They play fine. They look great. I feel like I'm sitting in a movie theatre. I don't think they look any better than the 2K transfers. I found a few articles on 4K projectors and supposedly they're fairly new. Does anyone know what happens to the image between the blu ray and projector when the transfer is 4K and the equipment isn't set up to play it? Am I not seeing the full transfer? I'm just curious. Thank You! |
