Funimation is releasing Part 1 of Toho studios Live Action films of the manga/anime of the same name.

Release date: October 4th

Really wish they'd release the 2 anime compilation films that came out in 2014 and 2015...but it's interesting to see this being released.

Heard the movie was shite, but I'll buy them regardless since I am a huge AOT fan. I binge watched the entire season back in 2013, and I've followed each monthly release of the Manga religiously since then.

Movie doesnt follow the anime, if you a die hard follower of the anime you wont like the live action movie. Its still a popcorn movie for me.

I'm curious about this release. I've watched a few episodes of the animated series on Netflix a while back and while it had some interesting bits, the series seemed poorly paced and didn't hold my attention. However, the assorted clips I've seen of the semi-live action movie look cool so I'll at least give it a shot as maybe a rental.

Surprised this wasn't a two-pack with both films as each film is pretty short and not all that great.

I think I'll be getting this solely for the fact that I have the anime and bought the OVA/Manga sets that have been coming out lately so this will be added to my collection
