Default RoboCop: Rogue City

Quote:
During today's NACON Connect, the publisher showcased a teaser trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City, which will hit consoles and PC in 2023. The first-person shooter from Teyon drops players in the role of Alex Murphy, the titular RoboCop who is tasked with protecting Detroit at all costs. This isn't a direct adaptation of past RoboCop projects, either. Instead, Rogue City features a completely original story, a narrative the brand has yet to explore on film or elsewhere. -Source

Hopes for the best, expects the worst.

Deserves a good game.

Robocop is probably one of those IPs that could transition properly to gaming and work unlike the constant crappy sequels and remakes. You could easily have a story that's well done as an origin even and MP modes.

So weird as I just finished watching Robocop 3 again.

The sad thing is, how can one appreciate a Robocop game when the whole time it's in First Person Shooter View? Great to see his arms and weapons, but that's about it. Ugh. I'll pass. At least offer a 3rd person view so I can see the awesome Robocop at all times.

I think i can imagine a scenario like the movies where they want to overlay tactical information and the screen glitching out when under certain attacks and so on. Maybe they might go the Cyberpunk 2077 route with 3rd party vehicles. A 3rd person is great for seeing the character model for sure but i think 1st person could work here too quite well. Especially if they add a VR mode for it.

If he hops on a motorcycle or jet pack 3rd person view, that could be good. But yeah, he'll definitely have his scanning identifications onscreen or they missed a key factor of Robocop, that's true.

At least fans got a 3rd person Robocop for MK11.

I'm also a fan of Robocop 2014; underrated film.
