Default Dates in Movies

I just saw a discussion about watching movies on the anniversary of dates that are in the movie. I thought that might be a fun thread to start.

I watch these movies on these days (there are more but this is what I can think of just off the top of my head) (please add more!)

April 8th is Rex Manning Day the day that Empire Records takes place
March 17th is the date at the beginning of the Fifth Element when Corben wakes up
July 17th is on the security camera on the elevator in Slums of Beverly Hills
Jan 8th is Roy Batty's incept date in Blade Runner
Oct 3 in Mean Girls

Obvious ones
Feb 2nd for Groundhog's Day (I watch it on repeat all day)
Feb 14 for My Bloody Valentine
thanksgiving for Home For the Holidays
and the host of christmas movies...

I’ve never kept track of how often people eat those things in movies. Does anyone??

But seriously, Leap Year with Amy Adams is one for me, Feb 29. I actually wasn’t able to watch this last leap year/day and am still kinda pissed about it. Lol

Yeah I planned on watching Leap Year last year, all excited, then I never got around to it that day. Oh well.

And I always look at dates for some reason, it's like ingrained into me to notice weird little things and coincidences, and quite often I see dates in movies and it's the actual date. Like we watched Zodiac on Oct 11th in 2019, not really paying attention to the date and time (I mean we've seen the movie probably 25 times) and the taxi driver was killed on that exact day exactly an hour later than when we were watching it. I watched Slums of Beverly Hills on July 17th and when that scene came up I had to rewind and pause it and snap a photo (yeah I'm THAT weird!) and now watch it on that day every year.

Oct 26th, not the 25, ha ha. I only know that because it's my birthday, which of course made it one of my favorite movies when I was a kid! I even have a coffee/tea cup with it on it! I was pretty pissed when the second one came out and changed the date to the 21st!

But yes this movie is watched on my b-day every year!

April Fool's Day is another obvious one
Friday the 13th is often watched on one of them, preferably in summer
July 4th Jaws and Summer of Sam
