At least they're licensing again. Too bad it wasn't with a better label. Wonder if any of the titles to come out from this deal will get picked up by Kino in 5 years like last time.

I have a feeling this possibly means the door could finally open again for labels like Kino Lorber or Arrow, that might be wishful thinking though

I just want a label that would indulge in all the 30s Fox titles I want

Mill Creek was the one releasing those Touchstones back in the day, so I'd hope/think they didn't sign up just to re-release them again some years later.

I don't think even a UHD of ANOTHER STAKEOUT would be flying off the shelves...

This could be good. Let Mill Creek release titles on blu-ray and DVD. At the same time, let Kino, Criterion, Shout, and Arrow have the 4K releases (as we've got our first peek with Criterion). We've seen where companies like Kino release 4Ks and Criterion still releases the blu-ray. This would/could be the best of both worlds if this were to happen.

Yeah, this could potentially be a huge development if it turns out this isn't limited to Mill Creek. Even if it's just MC for now, there are so many potential good titles to come out unless the deal is for a rehash of stuff that's been previously licensed. Kino re-released a bunch of Disney titles they weren't interested in because Disney made them take a deal.

I don't think this is exciting until I start seeing what they'll release. I hope it's not like Kino's deal with Disney where they pretty much only got the rights to the crappy D-list made-for-TV movies (like, stuff they didn't even put on Disney Plus).

It seems likely it won't be like that, since the list doesn't seem to include any actual Disney movies and thus they probably don't care about keeping stuff locked to their stupid movie club and/or streaming service. But, I'm still going to be skeptical till we start seeing some titles.

The press release says hundreds of film and television properties, so this sounds like it'll be bigger than their last deal. But I do hope that Kino and others have simultaneously made a deal with them for some of the classics in the catalog.
