Going to have to keep in eye on this to see how it eventually plays out. It could become really big.

That is nice.
I have to figure out the details. Is that free or is it a monthly thing or is it buy once?
Thanks for the link! Is there anything the PS3 can't do?

...Oh yeah.. play HD DVDs

It is a program that you can install on XP, Vista, Lunix, and the PS3 that lets you stream the data of a game (video, sound, keyboard, mouse, etc) from a high quality pc to a PS3... in other words.. you can play your PC on your PS3 and therefore, on your HDTV.
It supports Ultra-high definition so any tv will work fine. It will also record things to show off to friends/enemies.
It looks nice, and as long as you have a solid high speed network, you can play anywhere... they even say eventually you can do it over the internet like with the PSP and PS3.

but you still need the high-end gaming PC, right? All this basically does is let your TV act as your PC monitor wirelessly (in a sense)?

more likes pretends yourr ps3 is the pc. It will not do the processing, the tv will, but all the data transfer (keyboard and mouse and joystick and speakers and video, etc) will be sent from the ps3 to the pc.

It is similar though, letting you play your pc games on your tv via the ps3.
on the other hand it will also let you do it with a low end laptop on the go

How do you get the games? If I have to buy the PC games, I will probably just play it on my PC.

yes it is just like streaming it form your PC to your PS3.
You have to have the game, and a computer that can handle it.
The thing is now you can play your PC on your TV without hooking it up, and you can play your gaming pc on you craptastic laptop when not at home!

Default Linux and PC to PS3 game streaming

I know nothing about Linux, and found a site (streammygame.com) that allows game streaming from PC to PC and to PS3. You have to have Linux installed on PS3. Now my question, If I install Linux on my PS3, can I switch back and forth between Linux and my browser the PS3 comes with already or am I screwed and stuck with Linux? I just dont want any hassles. Any expert help needed.

you have to have the games installed on your PC , UNLESS the site allows you to stream off of other members from the website. That would be cool!

me too - I already have it on my PC, just have not installed Linux on my PS3. Being that I know nothing about Linux, I am hesitant to do so. Does anyone know that if I do can I switch back to my current browser and settings without a hassle?

At the very minimum you need to reformat your PS3 hdd.

That's largely what's holding me back right now to be honest, since I don't have an easy means to back it up.
