As for that hybrid cut, you can thank Irongod for poking me saying "hey, think we can do this?" Basically I gave Eureka the notes and a "workprint" combining both cuts together with labels/timecodes so they can use their original 2K masters to recreate it on their end. Enjoy

This looks like a incredible release. I ordered this and Wild Search as soon as they were announced. It's going to be a long wait for these. Thanks to everyone at Eureka for doing these great Asian films the releases that they deserve.

I pre-ordered too! Gonna be a long wait for sure. But, there's a couple of titles in the mean-time to keep us happy and content. Just glad it's coming out and in such an awesome package with all the extras. This might be another title which will allow me to sell my prior releases; I own way too many copies of this movie.

Pre-ordered: this is a dream release of an action-comedy masterpiece. One of my top 3 Sammo films.

Hopefully Above the Law and The Prodigal Son will also get a nice Blu Ray redo this year.

Whilst I was suffering withdrawal from the forum being down, I joined the 36styles forum and saw a thread of all the HKL DVD covers...so much nostalgia! I didn't realise I had 80 of them at one time before selling them
Some other titles I'd totally forgotten about are:

The Avenging Fist
Dragon from Russia
First Option
Hong Kong 1941
Red Wolf
Scorpion King
Tai Chi Boxer
Wing Chun

Hopefully we can see some of these in future (rights issues permitting).
They seem to be a mix of D&B, Golden Harvest, Cinema City and Media Asia. Anyone know if Media Asia are licensing to the UK?

I hope so. Especially the fantastic Scorpion King! Tiger on the Beat is of course awesome as well.

I have several of these on the HKL DVDs. I recall thinking Hong Kong 1941 was pretty good, but my parents own that one. Wing Chun is a bit of a grower; I was thinking of selling my dvd of it until a fairly recent 2nd watch deterred me!

I'm a big fan as well. Would love to see it released with the sequel as an extra - overall 2 is very mediocre, but there are a few outstanding sequences that are worth the price of admission alone.
