Wow, just watched this massively underrated 80s comedy for the first time. It's a real shame this film seems to be forgotten to time. It's a prototypical 80s teen comedy in a lot of ways but you can tell it was crafted with a lot of care. Its stars John Cusack and Demi Moore, with a cast rounded out with Bobcat Goldthwait and....buger from revenge of the nerds. Sure a few jokes don't land but I laughed out loud a few times in a room all alone. This movie has some standout scenes like Godzilla crushing a neighborhood
Toho style, animated clips narrated by cusack, and the super fun boat race. I ordered the warner archive dvd as it's the only physical version in widescreen. It's worth every penny. ![]() |
