Cool, this is a fun flick and I'll be getting this if the grading is good. The grading on 88's Blu-ray was pretty poor and Severin's release was an improvement in that regard, although it contained an editing error.

Zombie Holocaust is one of my all time favorite flicks. It's a masterpiece. This new art is awesome.

The art is fantastic on these, would gladly pick up prints of these if 88 made them available.

I'm curious if this will also have the Dr. Butcher MD cut as well. Which personally, is more fun (due to a hilarious added scene in someones back yard as well as a zany score) and tighter paced than the already cool Zombie Holocaust.

Watching this right now on the Severin blu. It's what great Saturday matinees are made of. There are scores and scores of instances of unfortunate damage of all sorts, throughout this master. I can't wait to see this film after it has been much more significantly restored/repaired.

Does this have the same tentative April release timeframe as Burial Ground 4k?

No idea. I'm looking at the Facebook comments now and there doesn't appear to be a mention of Zombi Holocaust.

BTW, somebody suggested doing 4K upgrades of Anthropophagous, Absurd, Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals, 2019, and SS Experiment Camp. 88 Films responded with, "What terrific ideas,' accompanied by a winking emoticon. Guess we can expect at least a couple of those?

Oh HELLS YES!!!!!! You just made my Friday!

Anthropophagous has lots of nostalgic value for me. Love the Greek Isles setting. It's an absolute must-have for my 4k collection. I've been waiting for some sort of indication of a possible 4k announcement, and I do believe 88 is most likely to make that happen first, if and when. Fingers crossed...for any and all of those titles.

And of course, I gotta believe Zombie Holocaust 4k is still close on the horizon. Another absolutely must-have 4k for me. Incredible times for vintage zombie and cannibal horror are truly upon us. C'mon 88, bust those 4k floodgates wide open.

Yeah, Anthropophagous would be great on 4k for sure. I wonder if Tisa Farrow ever talked with her more famous sister Mia about working with Joe D'Amato on this classic.

Anthropophagus is one of my all-time favorite horror movies. Would happily upgrade my remastered 88 BD (though I could never part with it because that slipcover is so nice).

I couldn't part with the initial 88 Films release for the same reason (even after getting the remastered edition through the Kickstarter). Buying it via their online store meant you got an exclusive slipcover imitating the UK VHS artwork:

I hadn't actually realised until now that Severin did an Anthropophagous/Absurd double pack with the same art.

I remember that cover from the 80's. I was only 10/11 and it was available to me to rent.....(I didn't though, the cover scared the s**t out of me).

Understandably so! It is impressive how they got a man as handsome as George Eastman to look so ugly.

Has anyone at 88 indicated yet what film elements the new 4k scan for their upcoming June 4k uhd of this title will be based on? Did they have access to the OCN (or someone's 4k scan of it) for this one?

EDIT: I just noticed on OrbitDVD's pre-order page for this release, it indicates a new 4k scan of the original 2-perf negative.

Seems like it got delayed until September.

Why don't 88 Films add ALL future releases on their webpage?
You have to go to Amazon to find out about them.

Hi, yes it's the OCN. Does look pretty spectacular considering the condition of it.
