Default I Love Trouble (1994)

Peter Brackett and Sabrina Peterson are two competing Chicago newspaper reporters who join forces to unravel the mystery behind a train derailment.

Was extremely surprised to find this release exists. Anyone know just how scarce it actually is and if the transfer is any good?

I own it, transfer is generally good although I did notice some aliasing at times. Great movie, really underrated. I never saw this on any previous format, I only remember it from seeing trailers in the cinema at the time. It was great to finally check it out decades later.

I like the movie too and own the blu-ray but you will probably be paying a premium for it because it's been OOP for a while like the other Australian Disney blu-rays like Splash.

This is one of my wife's favorite movies (she's a big Nancy Meyers fan), and I've been looking for a copy for a long time. Apparently someone found or had a couple new copies because I finally got one from eBay.

Shipped from Australia, it was new in packaging. Seller seems to have at least one more because there is another auction going on now.

I'm embarrassed to admit but I paid over $100 USD for this copy, with shipping and tax and all. The things we'll do for our wives sometimes...

I inspected it very closely and it is definitely an original copy and was wrapped like new BluRays (not in the stretchy but in the glue folded plastic). Disc was pristine inside.

The actual video file is 28.9 GB (pressed BD-50), and there are no special features, except for the trailer in Standard Definition. The video seems to look very nice, the print is quite clean - says on the back that this was a restoration. The release is region free.

Very odd that this hasn't been re-released, especially if a restoration was done? I wonder if there's some weird rights issue?

Splash is nostalgic for me, but it's even pricier, though there is a copy on eBay right now. But someone else will have to be the one to pay for it

Oh, and this guy mentioned it in his Youtube video (after he finishes talking about Resident Evil):

Luckily, I didn't pay what he's talking about for it! Sheesh!

Quiz Show from Australian sellers is nowhere near the price he paid.

I got it for $16.33 from Deep Discount through Amazon in 2017, but the Amazon page for it is gone, the link from the Order Summary is dead.

Glad I got it, I guess...

2 or 3 copies by different sellers on ebay for Quiz Show, cheapest price, $100 something, Dearest something over $300 odd. Talk about super rare for a bluray

Yowza! I wonder why Disney created an HD master and a Blu-Ray master for Quiz Show, but then only released it in Oz and never licensed it to Kino Lorber in the US. Bizarre.

Yes it's the same for Splash, which was mentioned earlier in this thread. They are all limited Australian release Disney titles... (I think...)

As for why some of these titles have never been released again, I can only guess. I am wondering if they aren't releasing them now because of wanting to push streaming or have streaming exclusivity for HD? But that's only a wild guess on my part.

Just got this i think its Polish edition and it looks great you can chose English menu and english subtitles and of course original english audio too. I remembered i really liked it. Its actually a super fun romantic crime thriller. No clue why the reviews is so bad maybe because Julia Roberts was only 26 when she shot this and Nck Nolte was double her age. Maybe they should have cast a younger Male lead. Their romance did seem weird.

May I ask where you bought it and what price? Wouldn't mind picking up a copy myself. Years since I've seen it.

Apparently Roberts and Nolte hated each other during filming and really didn't get on. This is funny as, age difference aside, they actually have really great chemistry and their sparring is a lot of fun.
