It pains me to say this about Sam Raimi, but his Spider-Man movies are garbage. I almost walked out of the theater during Spider-Man II.

Batman Returns on the other hand, ****ing rules.

Spider-Man 2, a better film in every way. Batman Returns is entertaining, but it's Burton run amok where it seems that he would forget that he was making a "Batman" movie and go "oh crap, I better throw some Batman in here... oops". He's so preoccupied with his style and the freaky villains, he constantly put the title character in the backseat. It's decent Burton, but not a good Batman film.
