Probably already been covered...but I haven't come across it before.
So I remember when BD-Live first came out and I thought it was a gimmick, I got the concept - hey enhance your purchase by harnessing the power of the internet for extra content etc. But I never ever bothered checking it out. Fast forward to now, and I fired up Heavy Metal as I was giving some love to my Oppo spare player (I've heard it's good to occasionally spin them up) and saw it had a BD-Live option, so I thought I'd finally check it out. Imagine my disappointment when it said 'make sure you're connected to the Internet'. I knew I was, having just connected my ethernet cable and doing a network connection test. So I'm guessing, much like when websites used to pop-up when some movie was released, that over time they just stop being maintained and vanish. Is that basically what happens?? |
