How is there not already a thread for this film? Maybe I missed it.

Anyway, this looks great!

Saw the trailer before Don't Breathe, and I agree it looks good. I'm always up for a good coming-of-age story.

I saw the trailer before a movie, as well. I can't remember which one though, maybe Southside With You. But, if you like coming-of-age movies, check out Girl Asleep and Closet Monster which both have limited releases in theaters this month.

I've seen the trailer with pretty much every movie since the trailer was released. It looks great. I'm actually excited for it. When reviews start coming in tonight out of TIFF I will either get more or less excited. I love a good coming-of-age film. This has the potential to be one of those.

I've been anxious for this ever since it was previously titled Besties. I saw the trailer at my theatre quite a few times as well. Though I hope they start showing the Red Band trailer because the accidental message send scene isn't as funny in the green band trailer.

The red-band trailer was way too long though. The rare case where I prefer the green band.

Anyway, reviews are terrific and call it an instant teen movie classic. Sounds great. Can't wait.

I agree this looks pretty good. I've been wanting to see it ever since the red band trailer was released, and reviews are great so far. Hope this gets a release date pretty soon over here.

Hands-down, the funniest line in the trailer. The line delivery and the action is amazing. Makes me laugh EVERY time.

There's a gay teen comedy-drama from years ago (late 90s, I believe) that has this same title, though, but with "The" dropped from the name.

This looks good. Reminded me that Hailee is a very good actress which I sort of forgot since she's gone off trying to become a pop
star.

Looks decent enough. Hoping the quirk factor isn't too high. Highly doubt anything will top Morris From America as the best coming of age story this year.

wah wah wah popular kids are evil amirite?

Woody Harrelson looks like he's having a good time in this, though, so that might be worth checking out.

Typically? Yes. Yes they are.

Haven't you ever seen "Pretty Little Liars?" If Alison wasn't evil, then who the heck is?!

Well, I'll have to disagree. At some point the endless parade of films like this that depict people who have an iota of social skills as suddenly being inordinately popular and having a perfect life, and thus evil, gets a bit tiresome. I mean, I guess it's more interesting to watch these things from an outcasts's pov than it would be to watch a typical person's (rather boring) experience but, frankly, the dichotomy Steinfeld sets up in the first line of the trailer is a false one.

No, I have no not seen that show although it looks like it might be up my alley. Although as I understand it they are covering up a murder or something which would be an "evil" thing to do regardless or popularity (the two things being independent of one another in general, I would imagine).

Alison isn't evil. Just spirited.

See, I love stuff like Mean Girls. I think those movies are just hilarious. Of course, in that film
[Show spoiler]the mean girls don't end up being mean, but reformed.

And no, they aren't trying to cover up a murder. Their friend, Alison, disappeared and they end up burying her. Meanwhile they are trying to figure out what happened, and are being tormented by some unknown force calling him or herself "A."

It's sort of equal parts grand mystery, soap opera, and thriller. Plus, it has a LOT of comedy. The show is so ludicrous that it's delicious. It reminds me of when I was in high school, during the glory days of "General Hospital" and "All My Children" -- just completely whacked out and insane.

Heh. Some of the stuff she says and does in those flashbacks. It makes you wonder why these girls were her friends in the first place! Of course she was Queen Bee ... so you want to be close to her. I'm at the end of S4 now. 5 more episodes to go.
