Default Academy Awards - Best Original Score 1986

Herbie Hancock won the Oscar for 'Round Midnight, but decades later Ennio Morricone's score for The Mission was selected as the greatest score ever by other film composers in 2011 and the 23rd best film score in American Cinema in the American Film Institute's 100 Years of Film Scores list.

Also contending for the Oscar were popular works by James Horner (Aliens) and Jerry Goldsmith (Hoosiers), and also a Star Trek entry (The Voyage Home, by Leonard Rosenman).

Which one is the best among the Oscar nominees?
