Default Is the Deals page missing titles?

Star Trek in UHD is $12.99, so why isn't it on the Deals page???

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Star-...lu-ray/153632/

I'm starting to think the Deals page isn't capturing all of the lowest price titles.

Maybe because it has been that price for a long time. According to camelcamelcamel Current $12.99 Jan 31, 2021

Seems like that shouldn't matter. The deals page should reflect all titles of that price range.

Found some more!

Thank you for your feedback.

There are several factors that play into this. As it's entirely subjective what constitutes a "deal" we have to try to find ways to filter out the noise and keep what's still getting interest. For example, titles with prices that have been stale or range-bound for a long period of time are typically shown less interest. Previous lows also play a role into the psychology of what's a good price for an item. Taking all this into account we try to show the most relevant/interesting deals and part of that is to filter out prices that have become "the new normal" or are higher than historically.

The deals that you brought up were featured at one point in time, but as they've received less interest over time they've drifted further back/down on the page until they eventually got filtered out. Those that visit the deal page daily, weekly or even monthly should still have seen these deals. It's after longer periods of staleness that titles typically get culled.

There might be some merit to relaxing this when it comes to the "lowest price" feature on the deal page, is that the one that you're talking about?
