Proof positive that if we wait long enough, ANYTHING can come to BD eventually?!

Not for me, but I do applaud moves to bring catalogue TV titles to BD. Although, as per above, I suspect that this will be upscaled.

We can only hope this is not just another poor telecined upscale.
I'd even settle for a proper 24p upscale like Farscape, if they're too lazy to rescan the film and slap sd effects on it...

I don't understand why anyone would want to reissue this. Doubt it will sell many copies.

Probably hoping to trade off the MCU cache.

I'd rather have the other Tribune series myself, Earth: Final Conflict. Bat-sh1t crazy the last couple of seasons but the first two were decent enough, and three was ok.

Seeing this release gives me hope that gems like Xena, Hercules, Relic Hunter, Beastmaster, The Lost World, Adventure Inc., or Queen of Swords may get a BD release someday, either upscaled or real HD.

The amount of information you can find on this release is really underwhelming.....I've contacted Revelation Films and Koch Media to see if they can tell me more.

This is now down to £59,99 on amazon, that's almost the price I would be willing to pay.
But tweets to Koch Media and Revelation Films for more information are unanswered, so I have no choice to wait for the release .

Maybe there are no reviews because no-one has actually bought it yet

This is Revelation though, so you can be assured that it will be another upscale like Andromeda.

I might pick it up next year when it's cheap.

I was going to buy this but was waiting to hear back about PQ since I have the dvds. Maybe I will order and post back once I watch them.

That's always a possibility...I see that no one here has it in their collection, only on a wishlist. Even a upscale could prove to be a lot better than the DVD's.

The upscaled Andromeda BD's (also from Revelation) were quite poorly done.
They basically just boosted the contrast, colour and brightness on them.
I would say they weren't any better than upscaled DVD's.

It wasn't an example of a skilled upscale job like Farscape for example (one of the best examples of the improved picture quality that can be coaxed out of a SD source in the right hands).

I don't hold out much hope that Mutant X will be any better than the Andromeda upscales.

I'll probably still pick it up but not until it is dirt cheap.
I wouldn't be surprised if this set is going for around £30 by next spring.

Andromeda - Seasons 3-5 can already be had for £24.99 each.
Back in September they were going for £49.99 each.

The Andromeda BDs were pretty poor yes. Well the first two were, I didn't bother with the rest.

There's compression benefits but that's about it. Luckily I got the first two seasons for about a tenner apiece ages ago, so - better compression, taking up less shelf space, and cheap - I replaced my DVDs but unless any of those three things matter to you then I probably wouldn't bother.

Mutant X, I would wager, will be more akin to Andromeda than Farscape.
