I’ve recently noticed that the movies I play through my TV app, as well as the content I play on apps such as Peacock and Hulu, have a one or two second delay from when I press PLAY to when the sound kicks in.
I’m not really missing out on anything since it’s just studio introduction but still, not sure what’s causing this or what to do to fix it. I also notice some lag while navigating the menus. Again, not sure what caused this other than my Apple TV syncing with my recent purchases from my PC. Anyone else experience these issues? |

I noticed it a couple weeks ago when I was watching YELLOWSTONE on Peacock. Everything was fine and then commercials had sound delayed by one or two seconds. I assumed it was just the commercials but then I noticed it on other apps and my movies.

I’ll check for updates on it and restore my ATV to factory settings if necessary. Cable TV plays fine. It’s just that initial lag bit when starting a show or movie on ATV or right when a commercial plays midway through a program (since I’m not paying premium fees for streaming apps). |

![]() But no, I'm not experiencing any issues with my cable TV. It merely occurs when I start a movie or TV show from the Apple TV, or when the program is interrupted with an ad. Part of me does wonder if it is my actual TV (2017 Sony 4K), because often times I will have to hard reset my TV when I turn on my Apple TV because the colors will be extremely muted on the Apple TV. |

I’m starting to realize that maybe it’s my soundbar giving out.
Does anyone have issues with sound during their movies? It’s as if one of the speakers briefly shuts off and the sound gets muffled. It eventually corrects itself, but I wonder if this is my issue. |

The artwork has always been the case for me. But I think since tvOS 15 it will get hung up when I’m scrolling through the library. It basically freezes and you have to wait. Sometime it will do it again while scrolling. Kind of a pain.

Don’t use a sound bar. Have the AppleTV going directly to an AVR and then the image pass thru to a projector. Never had any audio drop outs prior to the recent update.
I’m going to switch out the HDMI cable and do a factory reset to see if that fixes the issue. |
