Default iTunes Movies That Play a Different Version of the Film

If this discussion would be better suited somewhere, please let me know and I'll merge it with appropriate thread.

I've recently learned that some iTunes movie listings have misleading product information, particularly as it relates which version the film actually plays.

A perfect example of this is Basic Instinct. There are two versions available for purchase in the iTunes store. The first is listed as "Basic Instinct", and it has an R rating. The second is "Basic Instinct (Unrated Director's Cut)", which has an unrated rating. On the surface, one would assume that the censored version is restricted to the "R rated" release, while the unrated is exclusive to the "Unrated Director's Cut" release. However, both releases play the Unrated Director's Cut of the film.

Another example is Y Tu Mama Tambien. The release is listed as "R rated" in the iTunes store, which would lead one to assume that this is the censored version of the film. However, the release is actually the Unrated version.

Last night I checked my standard version of Knight and Day, which I purchased for $4.99 a few months ago, and I learned that it plays the Extended Edition. Previously, I thought I'd have to wait for the "Extended Edition" in the store to drop in price to purchase, but I don't.

I'd like to compile a list of different movies with this misleading information so that we're able to see if a release on sale is actually worth purchasing or not.
