This remake actually has me really intrigued. I'm excited to go see it. And more horror on UHD is always welcome.

It’s definitely true and the filmmakers have already gone on public record as to why they made the change (chiefly, because to have a toddler do all the things he’d have to do post-resurrection, they’d have to use a doll and/or CGI, and it would look fake or silly). Personally, I find their reasoning creatively lazy.

It’s obviously a balance. A frame-by-frame repeat is pointless, but an unnecessary change that completely alters the magic of the original is dumb.

I always wished they'd handle a re-adaptation as a multi-part thing that'd be better suited for Netflix. The novel, while not as lengthy as IT, has that perfectly paced development and mounting dread. To have that play out every week to an end would've been really neato.

Even though they switched which kid dies in the film, I'm ready for this adaptation. It has a lot of things from the story that the original film didn't include, so that has me excited to check this one out!

Not gonna lie. I wrote this one off after seeing the trailers but I have a bit of hope after seeing the early reviews. Might be a nice surprise after all!

Wonder if Best Buy will do a steelbook for this remake? Would look good next to the Mondo Steelbook of the original film.
