Gotta say I get far more enjoyment out of the TV pilot than out of either the boring, pretentious, Ang Lee version or the bash-crash-smash-shit-up version that Louis Leterrier gave us. Bixby's also my favourite Banner.

Mine is still Ang Lee's, despite its flaws.

None. He's okay as a supporting character, but that's it.

The comics say otherwise. The character has so much untapped potential. Bruce Banner's journey is an interesting one.

2003 easily. Sad, breathtaking and fascinating despite its clunkines.

Incredible, but the 2003 is probably the better movie.

I particularly like The Incredible Hulk: Married feature length two-parter. Gives me an emotional response heretofore missing in the theatrical films.

I really dislike the depressing, dour, and dull Ang Lee film.

Hulk/Banner never interested me. I know I'm in the minority, but that doesn't change my opinion.

I agree, I prefer the 1977 TV pilot movie Hulk, and the season 2 movie opener Married. But then that's what I grew up with. And yes, Bill Bixby was the better Banner.

"I once heard a story about a man being chased by a tiger. He came to a cliff. He fell. But he grabbed a branch, and he just hung there, just out of reach of the tiger. And he looked down, and ya know what he saw? Another tiger, waiting for him to drop. And then, he felt that the branch he was clinging to was coming out of the cliff by the roots. Now while all this was happening, he noticed something. He noticed, growing in the cliff beside him, a single, wild, strawberry. And with his free hand, he reached out and picked it, and he ate it... and he thought to himself... "What a wonderful strawberry.""

Ang Lee’s Hulk. It feels like he made a Frankenstein movie. My one big complaint is the use of the comic book panels. I thought that wore thin super quick.

Ang Lee all the way. A perfect example of how much a director with real vision and talent can bring to bog-standard pulp material. I wish more Marvel directors were encouraged (or allowed) to flex and experiment like Lee. I would kill to see him do a truly faithful Jack Kirby-esque Fantastic Four.
