Default Heat (Director's Definitive Edition) digital

Does anyone know what makes this version different from what we get on the blu rays?

I couldn't be sure because I cashed in the digital that came with the New blu r
ay. I guess the digital version that came with the new blu ray is just the older transfer.

If your digital copy doesn't have "Definitive Edition" in the title, then it's the original WB transfer which still holds up well to this day.

EDIT: NVM my previous statement. According to the review on this site of the Blu-Ray, its a new transfer overseen by Michael Mann.

"Fans of the film know this was released several years ago by Warner Brothers with a transfer my colleague Ken Brown gave four stars while freely discussing the fact that inherent filming styles, palette choices and shadowy ambience meant that it wasn't going to win any reference quality awards. Fox is touting a "new restoration overseen by Michael Mann"
