‘Monsieur Spade’ Makes Clive Owen a Classic Noir Hero in the Best Kind of Fanfiction: TV Review

It's a nice idea & a the people involved have great pedigrees, but Owen feels miscast. I like him as an actor, but he's just too British to pull of this very American character & his accent is all over the place.

On the plus side, the storyline is vaguely intriguing (especially after that last scene in the convent) & the dialogue is great. Scott Frank's still got it.

As it's only six episodes, I'll probably stick with it to see where it goes.

Anybody finish this? It seemed to meander quite a bit and episode 6 had to fit a lot in but I enjoyed the ending.
