Was going from DVD to Blu-ray usually a more consistantly large upgrade compared to going from Blu-ray to 4K? Yes this is a huge question with probably many different answers. Sorry.
I started collecting DVDs in the ~mid 1990s, my DVD collection was always under control to some degree as I never owned more than ~100 DVDs or so. Then in 2008 I started collecting Blu-rays, by then I was also doing pretty well financially speaking. By the time 4K arrived, (~2017?) I had around 1000 Blu-rays and since then I have upgraded 100s of my Blu-rays to 4K but as time has went along I began to slow it down. Over time I have become much more picky about upgrading my Blu-rays to 4K. Anyways, back in the early days of Blu-ray I participated big time in "Best Buy's Upgrade and Save" sales and so today I only have like 10 DVDs (mostly music). Anyways I almost never made any DVD to Blu-ray comparisons, I did not care. So I am asking this questions. I am just curious is all. Thanks |
